This Privacy Policy explains how the BeamNG Mod Manager website (“BMM,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you visit https://beammodmanager.xyz. BeamNG Mod Manager is an independent project and is not affiliated with BeamNG GmbH.
Who operates this site
The site is operated by BeamNG Mod Manager, an independent project. You can reach us for any privacy request through our contact form.
What we collect
- Analytics data — off until you consent. Google Analytics is delivered server-side through Cloudflare Zaraz — sent from Cloudflare’s edge rather than directly from your browser to Google — and no analytics data is sent until you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you accept, Google Analytics uses a first-party identifier to distinguish visitors and collects standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location from your IP, device and browser type, and on-page interactions) to help us improve the site. If you reject or withdraw, analytics stops and no further analytics data is sent.
- Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical request data such as your IP address and browser user-agent to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This is standard for any website and is handled under Cloudflare’s own privacy terms.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or payment details through this website.
Cookies & local storage
- Analytics identifier. After you accept, Google Analytics (delivered via Cloudflare Zaraz) may use a first-party identifier to distinguish visitors and measure usage. No analytics data is sent before you accept.
- Functional local storage (
bmm-site-theme,bmm-consent) stores your dark/light theme choice and your cookie decision on your own device. It is not tracking and is never sent to us.
You can change or withdraw your analytics consent at any time — this clears your saved choice, stops analytics, and shows the banner again:
Analytics & consent
We use Google Analytics 4, delivered through Cloudflare Zaraz — a server-side integration that runs from Cloudflare’s edge rather than sending data directly from your browser to Google. Because of this, your browser never makes a request to google-analytics.com. Analytics does not run until you accept: by default it is off, and no analytics data is sent. If you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner, analytics turns on and Google Analytics collects standard usage data as described above. You may accept, reject, or later withdraw consent at any time, and doing so has no effect on your use of the site.
Third parties
When you use certain features you interact with third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — usage analytics, delivered via Cloudflare Zaraz (server-side); runs only after you consent.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, delivery, and security, including software downloads.
- Patreon — our blog shows posts published on Patreon, and their images are loaded directly from Patreon’s content delivery network, so viewing the blog exposes your IP address to Patreon even without any action on your part. Separately, if you use “Connect with Patreon” on the Supporter Status page, Patreon authenticates you; this site then receives only your membership tier and display name to show your status, and stores no Patreon login or token.
- Tally — our contact / bug-report form provider.
- Ko-fi and social links (X, Twitch, Telegram) — external sites you may choose to visit.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. In the EU/EEA and UK these arise under the GDPR; in California, under the CCPA/CPRA (including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them). Because we hold almost no personal data about individual visitors, the most direct way to exercise these rights is to withdraw analytics consent and clear cookies as described above. Data retention
We keep no personal visitor data ourselves. Analytics data collected after consent is retained by Google under Google Analytics’ retention settings. Cloudflare retains request logs under its own policies.
International visitors
The site is operated from the United States and may be accessed worldwide. Analytics does not run until you consent; if you consent, Google Analytics data (routed via Cloudflare Zaraz) is processed by Google and may be transferred to and stored in the United States and other countries.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
