Get players onto your BeamMP server faster

Beam Mod Manager (BMM) is a free Windows app for BeamNG.drive mods. Its server prep links the mods a player already has into BeamMP, so when they join your server, BeamMP checks those files instead of downloading them again.

How it works for your players

They open BeamMP Servers in BMM and find your server. BMM shows how many of your server’s mods are already in their library.
One click preps the server: BMM links those mods into BeamMP’s mod folder, named the way BeamMP looks for them.
They join your server through BeamMP as usual. BeamMP checks each prepped file and uses it if it matches your server’s copy exactly — anything else downloads from your server like normal.

What your server gets out of it

Shorter waits before joining: mods a player already has don’t download again.
Less upload from your server, because matching mods are checked on the player’s PC instead of being sent again.
Nothing to install or configure on your server — it works with any server in the public BeamMP list.
It’s free for every player, on every BMM tier.

What prep doesn’t do

It doesn’t join servers for anyone — players still pick your server in BeamMP’s own list. Mods a player doesn’t have, or has in a different version, still download from your server as normal. Servers missing from the public BeamMP list can’t be prepped. It doesn’t get anyone past a server’s password, whitelist or bans.

Running your own server?

Turn on My Server in BMM’s Settings and point it at your server’s Resources/Client folder. A BeamNG / My Server switch then lets you manage the mods your server hands out from the same library you play from — link or unlink a mod with one click. It’s free.

Questions from server owners

Do I need to install anything on my server?

No. Prep happens on the player’s PC, using mods they already have. Your server, its mods and its settings stay exactly as they are. It works for any server that appears in the public BeamMP server list.

Could a player end up with the wrong version of a mod?

No. BeamMP checks every file against your server’s copy when the player joins. If their version doesn’t match exactly, BeamMP downloads yours as normal.

Does it cost my players anything?

No. The BeamMP server browser and prep are part of BMM’s free tier.

Is Beam Mod Manager a Discord bot?

No. BMM is a Windows app that manages BeamNG.drive mods on a player’s PC. The badge on this page is just something to paste into your Discord or forum post so players know prep works with your server.
