BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 0.7.6 + 0.7.7: v1 of Mod Update Detection is here!

🔔 New: Mod Update Detection — free for everyone, no premium required. BMM now checks your installed mods against the official BeamNG repository and flags anything with a newer version available, right in a new "Updates" row in the sidebar:

Each flagged mod shows a quick summary of what changed, plus a one-click "Open official page" to go grab it.
Runs whenever you hit "Check for updates," plus once automatically at launch (turn that off in Settings if you'd rather trigger it yourself).
Privacy stays intact: checking only sends the numeric repository IDs of your installed mods to BMM's licensing service, which reads the public mod pages on your behalf. No file names or personal data ever go with it, and no mod files are downloaded — this just tells you when it's time to grab the update yourself.

🔒 Security & Stability Hardening — a few things tightened up under the hood:

Backup & Restore is locked down tighter: Restoring a backup file is now strictly confined to BMM's own data folder, so a malicious or corrupted backup can't place files anywhere else on your PC. As always, only restore backups from a source you trust.
Fixed a potential crash: opening a mod's image picker or carousel on a malformed/bugged mod zip could crash BMM. Those are now detected and skipped safely instead.
Steadier Patreon supporter status: If a status refresh gets interrupted at just the wrong moment, BMM now keeps your saved credentials in sync, so your tier doesn't briefly drop before the next check. If you haven't updated in a little while, I'd genuinely encourage grabbing this one soon — nothing to worry about, just good hygiene to stay current.
