BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 0.8.3: One-Click Mod Updates Are Here!

Hot on the heels of the version-stacking update, BeamNG Mod Manager 0.8.3 is out... and it's the one a lot of you have been asking for since the Updates page first appeared.

⚡ Update now — One-Click (Players tier and up)

Mods from the official repository can now be updated in a single click. BMM downloads the new version straight into your Mod Storage, switches your active link over, and keeps the old build in your library — so if a new version breaks something, the previous one is right there in the version stack. No browser, no manual downloads, no dragging zips around.

👑 Update All — the first Supporter exclusive

Supporters get the big red button: refresh every outdated mod in your library in one click. Downloads run one at a time with visible progress and a Cancel button. You've carried this project from day one — it felt right that the first Supporter-only feature is the most requested convenience in the app. Thank you. ❤

🤝 Polite by design

A note on how this works, because it matters: BMM never downloads anything on its own. You trigger every download, BMM identifies itself honestly to the repository, spaces requests out, and backs off immediately if the repo asks it to slow down. Checking for updates stays free for everyone, along with the direct links to each mod's official page.

🏷️ Also in 0.8.3

Tag suggestions are now just Cars, Trucks, Aircraft, and Drift — and those stuck automatic tags (vehicles, sound, script…) are gone for good, including from mods already in your library. Your own custom tags are untouched and now keep the capitalization you type.

The app finally links its own website (Yes, I've overlooked it this long 😄) — beammodmanager.xyz, in Settings and the sidebar.

Transparency, as always: if you've opted into anonymous telemetry, BMM now also records an update-download event — single/bulk and outcome only, never which mod.
